Patricia Shine Hayes, Director of Development
Patti joined the R.Ed.I. Foundation in 2009 as Director of Development. She is a teacher of English and Art, as well as having 20 years experience in Banking Management and as VP/Corporate Training Director for Washington Mutual Bank. Patti writes foundation grant documents, press releases, marketing material, website content and represents us at conventions. She has written and developed curricula for both schools and businesses in such areas as Management, Finance and Personnel Development. Patti has worked with young people throughout her business and education career and has a passion for helping them become successful adults. She is a classically trained pianist and university-educated graphic artist. Currently Patti is authoring and developing fictional literature and is in research for that project. She writes a weekly blog/column about politics and family life and is a frequent contributor to Cancer websites that support its victims. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors from Northern Illinois University in English with secondary school teaching certifications for both English and Art.
Betsy Hiller, Director of Program Development
Betsy is an entrepreneur and consultant working in the branding and imaging business. Her company Hillerhaus has developed strategic marketing and branding strategies for such companies as Perry Ellis (perfume), ConsignDesign, Britannica Learning, Alert Publications, and the Tom Fuller Band. She has led re-imaging campaigns and logo development, store design and visual merchandising for Radioshack, Sears, Fort Worth Museum Store and CCA Global Partners. Her work has generated retail national awards, increased ROI and national industry recognition. Her designs in retail and executive office space maximize appeal and functionality. Currently she is exploring marketing strategies, product development and branding for the independent music industry. Betsy’s experience as a merchandising and branding professional brings capable talent to the R.Ed.I. Foundation team and will help position us for future growth and recognition.
