Program Development

In 2006, the R.Ed.I. Arts and Education Foundation was established and began work gathering real stories and statistics from the experiences of real teens today. Professional writers, choreographers and composers were commissioned to put those stories into a musical theater format that would be performed by teens, for teens. The new show premiered in August 2009, providing a strong message to teens that they are not alone facing difficult choices.

The show can be performed for any conference, event, school, civic or community organization that has a goal/focus of helping, educating and providing healthy resources for teens. It is continually being updated for content and to assure that current, tough, teen issues are at the forefront of our production.

“STAND UP! Change Teen Statistics” has been playing to high school, junior high school, “parent university”, boys and girls clubs, and educational conference audiences throughout the Midwest and continues to receive inquiries from schools and organizations around the country after showcasing at the Midwest Arts Conference last fall, and at several Illinois Educator conferences during the past year including Assistant Principals and Dean, School Counselors and School Business Officials.
