Dawn Akelis, Stage Manager
Dawn has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Directing from Millikin University and was awarded the Professional Intern Program for Stage Management at The Julliard School, NY. Her professional career has included the roles of stage manager, supervisor, sound tech. assistant stage manager or floor manager for The American Girl Doll Theater, Chicago Children’s Theater, The Goodman Theater, R.Ed.I. Arts and Education Foundation (touring show), The Embracing the Dream Conference and Moves Dance Studio (dance concerts). In her internship at Juilliard, Dawn worked as Stage Manager for the Playwrights production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Yellow and the Graduation Concert (2006), Assistant Stage Manager for the Juilliard Centennial Drama Tour, Sir Isaac’s Apples and Vigils (both world premieres), and for Dance Concert 2006. Her special skills include lighting design and sound tech. Dawn was awarded the McNabb Memorial Award for “Outstanding Contributions to the Theatre Arts” and was published in The Stage Manager’s Handbook at Millikin University-4th edition.
Andrew Farah, Road Manager
Andrew brings his extensive career in hospitality and event production to the R.Ed.I. Foundation. His operational and management experience for events both large and small includes conferences and theater performances. Andrew is also a Founding Board Member of R.Ed.I. Arts and Education Foundation.
